When Julia was still training for her coaching work, I was one of her clients. Even without completing all of her training, even without extensive experience, she was able to give me the exact type of coaching that I needed at the time. Julia’s skill, intuition, intelligence, patience and uncanny wisdom helped me to find the strength and courage to make a profound change in life–at at time when I was physically, psychologically and emotionally at the lowest point. I am forever grateful to her, and I would recommend her coaching to anyone who can benefit from personal coaching. She is a rare gem.
Who Are You?
You feel stuck. Your life is not bad enough for you to make an immediate change, but it is not good enough for you to feel joy and fulfillment.
You are already successful in the conventional sense: a career, a spouse, a home, annual holiday plans. Nevertheless, you find yourself asking, “Is this all there is?” If you pause and listen, you know there is something missing. If you become completely honest with yourself, you know you want something more.
You are grappling with all the big questions. You walk, talk and feel like a success. And you know you are successful inside and out. And yet, you have so much more to offer to the world, but don’t know what it is and where to start.
Does any of this sound like you? If so, you are in the right place. I am an expert at:
-
Guiding you deep into your inner landscape,
-
Asking you powerful questions to gain life-changing clarity,
-
Breaking down limiting beliefs that have kept you stuck, and
-
Helping you create practice that lead to massive actions and lasting change.
Who Am I?
I am a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) with experience in a global outplacement firm and with my own private clients. I bring my unique life experience to every client interaction.
-
I’ve always stayed relentlessly true to myself, and I’ve been willing to let go of what was working to make room for the extraordinary. As a little girl, I stood on the threshold of my family’s home to look out across the mountains far from our village. As a university professor in Shanghai I took the leap of moving to the U.S. My life has taken me through different contexts and cultures, which helps me work with people undergoing change, adapting to a new environment, or wanting to take a big leap in their lives. My clients describe me as a rare gem who inspires them to learn and grow.
-
I have found my own way from pleasing others to finding the strength in myself, trusting my own judgment, and following my own inner yearning. I help my clients find that source of strength in themselves. I’ve been described as dynamite, as a powerhouse who will not shy away from challenging you, but with deep care: I hold you in the center of my universe. I’m here not to please you but to serve you. I gently stretch your comfort zone so you can really find what you really want.

John Heinemann
, Julia challenged me to change the way I approached my career, and her guidance will continue to impact me long after the short time we worked together. When I first began working with her, many of the readings and webinars offered by her firm were very similar to what I had learned from the Career Services Office at my law school. Julia suggested I keep an open mind and be willing to accept there might be some things I don’t know. I had never really internalized the value of humility in a professional setting, but it opened up doors in the job hunt and now, as I am beginning a new job, I feel a new clarity and direction in moving forward with my career. I highly recommend Julia for anyone searching for a new role or questioning their current career path.

Cheryl Graeve
, My career coach Julia Meade was very helpful. She pointed me toward additional good resources in the LHH system, she refined my writing and importantly guided me toward thinking about how to shift my mindset from the organizational work I’d done for nearly two decades toward what I personally had accomplished so I could show case it as part of my offering to a next employer or project. She also pushed me to explore outside my comfort zone, gently challenged me to do things like a practice interview and gave me important feedback. She worked with me as I did this program during a time when I had a sister in the hospital so her willingness to adjust my time and support was deeply appreciated and helped me take more full advantage of the great LHH offerings.
April Otchere
, Julia was my career coach when I used Lee Hecht Harrison’s outplacement services. She helped me from start to finish including updating my resume and putting together my marketing plan. Julia provided valuable feedback that I was able to incorporate right away in my resume and exit statement. She also provided me with constructive feedback during a mock interview process. I would recommend Julia as a career coach to anyone that is going through a job transition and needs a partner in the process.
Ideen Sohltalab
, Julia is such a gem. I completed one of her workshops and months later, I still find myself referring back to the ideas (emotions vs. moods; assertions vs. assessments; resentment vs. acceptance; resentment vs. acceptance; resignation vs. ambition; anxiety vs. wonder) and remembering the enthusiasm with which she coached us. If you have a chance to participate in her workshops or work with her 1:1, go for it – you will grow.
